Small teams have enough leverage to build and distribute products which can reach unicorn status.
Implications:
Seat based pricing will evolve as it is horrible way to capture the upside of the value you provide. Your part of business might be responsible for bringing in $2M in revenue, but you are charging $25 because they are only 5 people.
Most enterprise features are useless for a team of 5. You don’t need SSO, you don’t need complex permissioning, or analytics or bunch of reporting tools for the whole management chain. Now you can’t make money this way either.
Largely input resource based pricing is a bad way to about things in a world of high leverage. As the output can be 1000s of X larger than the input.
